This reputable organisation is one of Australia€™s largest and most recognised civil contractors delivering high quality infrastructure projects across the country.

The project is based just outside of Newcastle and involves the construction of a brand new piece of highway including a number of bridges. With the existing team growing at a rapid rate we are now looking for an experienced OHS Co-ordinator with civil construction experience to join this team in the coming month.

Reporting to the OHS Manager you will be responsible for driving safety processes across the site. You will liaise closely with Area Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and sub-contractors to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Site Safety Management Plans.

You will be responsible for:

• Carrying out site specific inductions
• Reviewing and Maintain Safety Management Plan
• Running safety meetings
• Carrying out internal and sub-contractor audits
• Conducting incident investigations and reports when required
• Attending toolbox talks
• Participating in management meetings
• Providing support to management team across the site
• Document Control

You will hold a Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV in OHS, preferably have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing, and have a number of years experience in a safety role within civil construction.

You will be a motivated person who is dedicated to furthering your career within this industry. You will have exceptional communication and people management skills, with the ability to problem solve on the go.
