NSW Technical Superintendant

We are now recruiting a NSW Technical Superintendant for our Blasting Services group, a leading explosive manufacturer and provider of high quality blasting and technical services.
The NSW Superintendant will be responsible for providing high level technical support to our NSW Customer and to NSW Drill & Blasting operations and will provide leadership the technical group in NSW to solve problems and provide guidance for customers to achieve optimum results through safe and efficient drill and blast techniques.
More specifically, responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Make recommendations with regards to health and safety, implement improvements to safety and security procedures and coach employees in order to correct unsafe work habits.
Provide technical and operational leadership of the Technical Services in NSW, identify new opportunities of business for the Company, ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements, company policies and procedures, and provide technical support related to products and product applications in NSW.
Define and assist in developing improvements to the drilling and blasting methods and systems in NSW operations.
Lead the NSW team, manage staff development, track performance, deal with and solve day to day issues and build a positive and productive team environment
Qualifications and experience required include:
- Degree level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
- Extensive background in Drill & Blast activities
- Sound numerical and analytical skills
- Sound oral and report writing skills
- Computer literacy skills
- Sound interpersonal and team work skills
- Technical skill in relation to blasting activities
